What Personal Information Does Grind Collect? 

 

Grind collects information from the following categories of sources: (a) directly from you; (b) indirectly/automatically from you; and (c) third-parties. 

 

Personal Information Grind Collects Directly From You

The type of Personal Information we collect directly from you depends on the context of your interactions with the Platform and the Services you use. “Personal Information” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household.

 

You may also provide us with information about you at the time of requesting customer support, sending us an email, making comments on our Blog, which may include the following:

 

Contact information: first and last name, email address, mailing address, business name, business address, and telephone number;

Uploading and Posting Personal Information on the Site

 

You may provide Personal Information to be displayed on public areas of the Site, or transmitted to other Users of the Site or third-parties. This Personal Information is posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. While all Users of the Site must abide by our Terms of Use, we cannot guarantee that their use of Personal Information that you provide directly to them or which is provided to them through the Site will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  

 

If you choose to comment, react, or otherwise interact with any blog post or article on the Site, you are choosing to make such comment, reaction, or interaction public. Commenting is moderated by Grind administrators and may be subject to approval before appearing on the Site, and a comment may be removed by us at any time in our sole discretion. You need to contact Grind if you want the Personal Information that was posted to the comments section removed. 

 

We will not ask or require you to provide sensitive information such as information related to your finances, health, marital status, or any other information not required to use the Site. We will not ask for, and you should not provide us with, information regarding protected classifications, including: race, color, religion, national origin, sex/gender, gender indentity, sexual orientation, marital status, medical condition and disability information, as described under the appropriate state or federal law. We cannot control what information is requested from third-parties providers or other Users, while using the Site. Any information you provide to other Users or third-party providers is entirely at your own risk.

 

Information Grind Automatically Collects From You

While you are accessing and using our Site, we may automatically collect certain information from you.

2. Access date and time, pages of our Site that you visit and the time spent on those pages, and other actions while using the Site;

5. Information about the device you use to access our Services, including the hardware model, the type of mobile you use, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, cookie data;

The information we automatically collect from you is only statistical data and does not include personal information, but we may maintain it or associate it with personal information we collect in other ways to help us improve our Site. We use these technologies for a number of purposes, including to enable you to use the Site, facilitate the functioning of and your access to the Site, to better understand how you navigate through the Site, and to detect and prevent fraud. Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics as a third party tracking service, but we don’t use it to track you individually or collect your Personal Information. We use Google Analytics to collect information about how our Site performs and how our Users navigate through and use the Site. This information helps us evaluate our Users’ use of the Site and improve our Site performance.

 

Google Analytics gathers certain non-personally identifying information over time, such as your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, timestamp, and similar data about your use of the Site. We do not link this information to any of your personal information. Google provides further information about its own privacy practices and offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics tracking. 

 

Personal Information Grind Collects from Third Parties

 

We may collect Personal Information about you from other sources, including but not limited to (a) third-party services that you use to link or connect with our Services, such as LinkedIn, and (b) service providers, analytics companies, advertising networks, and other third parties that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, provide us with additional information about you.

• Name, account information, and friends lists or contacts, in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such social media site;

• Identification Information: Users profile pictures.

How Does Grind Use Your Personal Information?

How Does Grind Secure Your Personal Information?

We use commercially reasonable technological safeguards to secure any information we collect about you. The secure server software ("SSL") we use encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Does Grind Collect Personal Information From Minors?

 

Grind Site is intended for individuals at the age of 18 years old or older. If you are under the age of 18, you may not use the Site. We do not knowingly collect information from or direct any of our content specifically to children under 18. Minors

Our Services are intended for individuals at the age of 18 years old or older. If you are under the age of 18, you have the right to request and obtain removal of content or information you have publicly posted, under the California Business and Professions Code Section 22581. Be aware that your request does not guarantee complete or comprehensive removal of content or information posted online as the law may not permit or require removal in certain circumstances.

 

Do not Track Features

 

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals. However, at this stage there is no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. 

 

California’s Shine the Light Law

Under California's Shine the Light Law, California Consumers may request the type of Personal Information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes and a list of those third parties (if any). The Site is not intended for Users that reside outside the US. However, if you are an User of the Site and resides in the European Economic Area (EEA), we have additional information to provide you with.

• Object to processing of your Personal Information, under certain conditions;

• Request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions;

• Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your Personal Information.  

 

You will not have to pay a fee to access your Personal Information or to exercise any of the other rights. However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Please note that where we act as data processor on behalf of our users, you will be required to contact the data controller directly to exercise your rights.  

 

Should you wish to report a complaint or if you feel that we have not addressed your concern in a satisfactory manner, you may contact your local Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your Personal Information.
